Situated in the heart of the surrounding golf course, the Axis Ponte Lima Golf Resort Hotel is a short drive from the town centre of Ponte de Lima. The hotel offers forty comfortable ensuite rooms with air conditioning, mini bar, satellite tv and internet access. A short walk in the beautiful surroundings leads to the clubhouse where the friendly staff serve fantastic local cuisine and is the perfect place to relax outside on the terrace in the evening and reflect on your day’s golf by the 18th finishing hole.

Courses

The Ponte Lima golf course features two contrasting sets of 9 holes which differ largely from one another, the front nine being very hilly and the back nine being relatively flat with a more conventional layout in comparison. A buggy is definitely advisable for this course! The course offers superb views over the Lima Valley and features some unique holes including a huge par five 3rd hole and a sloping dogleg left 9th with your approach played over the road linking the course and hotel. A formidable challenge for all standards of golfer.

Accommodation

The Axis Ponte de Lima has 40 well equipped rooms with private bathrooms, 22 of which overlook the golf course. The Hotel also boasts a Health & Wellness Centre, tennis courts, a heated indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, horse-riding and water sports facilities.The Olival Restaurant, situated in an old full restored manor house, boasts its local gastronomic cuisine adding a slight modern twist to it all. Again guests can enjoy great views over the course from the terrace whilst sitting down to an evening meal and drinks. The Axis Ponte de Lima Wellness Centre offers access to the health club which includes a heated indoor pool and Turkish bath.
