Estoril
The prestigious Golf do Estoril, 20 times venue of The Portuguese Open and one of Portugals oldest courses, has stood the stand of time as one of the most enjoyable golfing experiences in the country.
Designed by Mackenzie Ross, this Par 69 course comprises of a fairly straightforward layout rewarding accuracy rather than power. A short course, stretching just 5,262 metres, is set amongst eucalyptus, pine and mimosa trees, giving it a uniquely colourful touch. There are very few water hazards but the real challenge here is the narrow fairways and undulating landscape, which are consistent throughout the design.
Buggies are in short supply here so please make sure your requirements are made known early.

Lisbon Sports Club
The Lisbon Sports Club, designed by Hawtree & Sons, is a charming 18-hole parkland course located in one of the most picturesque regions just outside the greater Lisbon area, only 20 minutes from the city.
The course is conveniently located a short drive from the airport, making it a perfect course to play as soon as you get off the plane. Founded in 1922, the course is one of the oldest in Portugal and provides the opportunity to be able to play golf in a natural environment, and in untouched, picturesque surroundings. Lisbon Sports Club is short at 5,278 metres off the back tees and suitable for those who prefer the easy life! There is stream running through the course, which comes into play on 12 holes, but otherwise this friendly course presents not too difficult a challenge.
The Lisbon Sports Club is a decent course to warm up on, in a beautifully natural setting in Lisbon.
Quinta Da Marinha
An exciting, 18 hole championship golf course designed by the internationally acclaimed golf architect Robert Trent Jones. The first nine holes are set in spectacular countryside while the second nine are on the cliff top, with sensational views over the Atlantic Ocean. The course is dotted with sand and water in true Trent Jones style. Very popular and justifiably so.
